toure, veloso and frings are all DM and thats who i hope wenger will buy
however i have no doubt wenger has some plan to strngthen the squad

barry is bad business, he’s good at villa for the position he plays but he’s no good at afc. let me tell you why – afc need a defensive shield, stopper type who can tackle anyone and who is fast enough to link up with our speed of play. barry can hold up play but is not a classic dm, not a fierce tackler which is what we really need, not a ball-winner and lacks the star quality to inspire the kids. he’s an eight million pound midfielder who’s priced way beyond that because o’niell deosn’t want to lose him, not because he’s actually worth that amount to anyone else. barry is bad business for afc.

I’d love to see Barry at Arsenal but I agree with the article in that it doesn’t seem likely.
However as witnessed in villa’s friendly last night, Barry doesn’t have many friends at Villa Park. The fans have turned against him. That is likely to affect any player. Also is Liverpool spend £15+million on Keane & do not sell Alonso they are unlikely to be able to afford him if Villa DO have to sell him.
THEN wenger might swoop with a cheeky bid and maybe throw in a player like Hoyte.
That would be good business.
