The simple fact is that our "first choice midfield (Nasri-Diaby-Cesc-Rosicky)" contains two absolute sicknotes...plus Diaby and Nasri are still unproven in the Premiership. Although I think Rambo looks mustard and will be a great acquisition for us, I believe Denilson still hasn't lived up to his potential (due to injury problems maybe). It's as simple as this though, would Manchester United or Chelsea have an area of their squads as threadbare as we have with a holding midfielder. Ideally, I'd like to see three new signings (GK, CB and Defensive midfielder) but the minimum to see us through this season with a chance of winning a trophy is a holding midfielder. Now, I don't want us to get deeper into debt especially with the coming recession, but, this holding midfielder can not be a gamble, no Inler-like second rate characters...so we may need to break the bank and bring in Lorik Cana.
