i have to say though thats probably the furthest ive seen him run, he never managed to use that much effort for arsenal.

And for the crowd surge, all the people who say arsenal dont have passion just have to look at the crowd at that point to see the passion.

I think for once Arsene had some blame in yesterdays loss. What were Diaby and Bendtner doing on the pitch for Ninety minutes when Eduardo,Rosicky, Eboue were on the bench? When it was time for substitution,he now took out Song ,Denilson and Sagna when the above 2 sloppy players were stil on the pitch? Of course we became more prone to counters and paid dearly for it.
As 4 Adebayor,a child will always think and behave like a child even in Adult's physique and clothing. No one is giving Kudos to Gallas who marked him out of the game save for his 2 chances which he scored one

Thanks for your input folks (even those City folks looking for an argument - honestly, wait until Ade gets restless at Eastlands and then you'll see what we're on about):

To answer a few points:

Charlie, it is a little concerning that we're conceding from most of the chances we give away, but that's probably due to over committing trying to win the game. Having said that, I'd rather we won one and lost one, than drew two, so I'm happy with this approach.

siv, the front line had a poor day, despite RVP's efforts. They seemed slow somehow, not the right combination. But then a bunch of injuries forced Wenger's hand - there are plenty of pacey players unavailable.

Goons_with_Guns - the capitulation was poor, but City, like us, will be dangerous when ahead - they look set up to be a very good counter attacking team.

Maurice, drop Almunia? And bring in who? It is too easy to criticise a player but not suggest a replacement.

Nico, I missed the incident with Sagna, to be honest, so I can't really comment on it.

Paulette, the point is that it wasn't just plastic fans put at risk in the crowd incitement. It was EVERY fan, including those who had defending Ade time and time again in the face of everything he was doing.

mikeB, the unavailability of players after internationals infuriates me, you, and every one of us seven or eight times a season. Arshavin's choice to put Russia ahead of Arsenal was exceptionally annoying, and I'm sure words were had. Walcott was more in the hands of the England setup. But yes, it is mind boggling that the club that pays these huge wages are the ones to lose the players.

I don't want to talk about the match; I don't even want to talk about an ungrateful moron. I do want to talk about what has happened to us. We have the best midfield in the league, but they weren't there; why? Because they put self indulgence ahead of the people who pay their wages. Walcott and Arshavin would have pressured City and taken the game to them; Walcott as the best impact player in the league and Arshavin as the best player in the league. I love them both, but somewhere along the line they have to be told in no uncertain terms where their priorities lie. International duty is a perk; The Arsenal fans are their duty. At the start of the season I looked at the mouth-watering array of talent we have in midfield and thought this would be our year, but it seems to have melted like chocolate soldiers. Broken limbs and serious injuries are one thing; utter stupidity and self-indulgence are quite another.

I was pleased for Ade to get his revenge on all the plastic gooners who vilified him last season. This Arsenal team is the worst since the mid 80's.. I am a life long fan, but I really dislike alot of our team, who are little more than weedy little boys with a grudge.

I for one am not too worried. Again we outplayed them (like vs ManU), again we were thoroughly unlucky: Richards offside, Adebayor shouldn't even have been on the pitch when he scored. Everybody talks about the stamp on RvP and quite a few remember the early bad challenge on Cesc, but who has seen his nasty stamp on Sagna (the ball was long gone when he planted his studs in his legs)? Of course once we were 2-1 down we were ripe for the picking. Which they did pretty well, I must admit. 4-2 is a flattering score for City, and clearly does not reflect the match physionomy imho.
Painful loss in the end, but I am sure that we will finish in front of City, and Spurs for that matter.
