One thing I would say is that, amid all the madness, Porto seemed to consistently beat us to the ball. Weren’t we the ones who used to be quick and pacey??

Forget about the two bizarre goals. Some of our injured will be back for the return and another 4-0 win will result. What I would like to see punished is the waving of imaginary cards by (invariably) continental sides. This disgusting behaviour is an affront to fellow players whose livelihood is being threatened.

Referee was right to give the quick free kick to porto, but my argument is ref was not even looking at the ball when the free kick was taken and instead he was in converstaion with Sol.

And the fact that free kick was taken behind his back it should never have been allowed,

Fabianski should should have kicked ball instaed of handing it back to the ref….and should have got himself booked instead.

I found it funny that a ref failed to spot a nail on penalty for a foul on rosicky but he spotted a back pass from 40 odd yards, even though it was hard to distinguish whether it was intentional from Sol on television.

Until we get a keeper that the defence can trust we will always be struggling to handle anything our side of the line. I thought sol and vermaelen looked fine together. But no trust in the man behind undoes all good work. fabianski cost us F.A cup with similar calamities. Where have all the top class Arsenal keepers gone. Wilson, Jennings, Rimmer, Lukic, Seaman even lehman. Then OOPS nothing that gives any confidence to any body watching. Get a first class keeper in and you will see a much more confident defence. At the moment we are everybody’s joke at the back.

1) perhaps some of the stupid snarling about almunia can now be put to bed
2) diaby lost the ball more times than i can count
3) sagna is getting slower and has clearly forgotten how to cross

here is my blame table-

1. FABIANSKI ( calamity in almost all games he has played this season, Lets give VITO a shout )

2. WENGER- technically he was flogged by his opposite number, wenger really needs
to go back to the school, to learn the rudimentary of the game, because he is becoming to knowledgable for his own good. simple qualites are lacking from the players- such SHOOT when presented with an opportunity, cross the ball like it should be crossed.
dont attack and forget about your defenesive duties.
he doesnt have the balls to make a bold sub.

o my god!!! i think im losing the will to live

how many ridicluous goals are we going to give away, primarily due to sub-standard goalkeeping. our no 1 is awful, the worst in the prem and our no 2 is a joke.

i can put up with our policy of youth, the fact that we really dont have big money and cant afford the big names and that the club are keeping us on a sound financial footing by doing this. And i can put up with the ridiculous amounts of possesion that we seem to have, yet seems to amount to nothing. yet why o why do we continue to concede ridiculoius goals. if you look at all the goals we have conceded this sesason, how many have come from blatent mistakes or school boydefensives errors; a player falling over; a mix up in cover.our full backs get no support from the likes of nasri and rosicky and we often left with our defensive players getting caught halfway up the pitch and no cover. and what has happened to the likes of rosicky, clichy, nasri and sagna. these we’re quality players who seem to have gone backwards.

get eboue on the right diaby left fab and song in the middle. and arsh and and bendter up front. we will see a different arsh with bendter making space for him

thats if we can get them of the injury bench, we seems to be the favourite position for most of our lightweight players

is it confidence or lack of ability, i dont know. but some of our players need to have a serious look at their contribution and commitment on the pitch

Adil, RVP and Ade got the goals that day but in fairness it could have ended 10-0, such was the gulf between the two teams.

Porto were truly dreadful that night, and although they are unlikely to be as bad again, we should still be able to dispatch them. If we can gift them tonight’s two goals and still come away with a 2-1 result that keeps the tie in the balance, we should progress.

you are talking abt the 4-0 trashing we gave them last time… u know who were the strikers back than? adebayor and van persie… they had a hell of a game vs porto and thats why we won 4-0… we dont have them in this game rvp with an injury and moneybayor at city… who is gonna score the goals… i wud be happy with a 1-0 and qualification… if can than more goals but all that i want is qualification….

Teams like Porto will continue with their despicable tactics until a referee is strong enough to book the divers and read the game better. If he couldn’t see that Cesc was a target he must be even worse than I thought.
